Preventing premature aging is something we need to start thinking about long before our thirties.  The absolute best way to prevent age spots and wrinkles is to use sunscreen.  Mothers should put it on their children when they are going to be outdoors.  Teens and adults alike should apply it under their make up every day.  An SPF of 30 is usually sufficient.  If you plan to be in the water, be sure to take sunscreen along and reapply it often.  If it’s too late to prevent signs of aging, try some of these tips to minimize it:

How to minimize vertical lines that go down into the lip:

Fill in the wrinkle with a waxy lip balm.  Apply your favorite lipstick over it.  

Reduce the appearance of new lip lines by using an anti-aging product that helps to firm up the skin and prevent the deterioration in elasticity around the.

How to temporarily smooth wrinkles: 

1. Carefully apply tape over the wrinkled area before going to bed.  Leave on overnight. This is a quick fix and not recommended on a regular basis.

2. Another method is to pinch the wrinkled area for 10 seconds before you apply night cream. This increases circulation and helps firm the area.

3. Try using some instant firming gels.  They are supposed to tighten and tone the surface layer of the skin.

How to keep your skin soft and smooth:

1. Drink a lot of water.  It’s vital for all body cells.
2. Exercise.  It keeps your skin toned and gives you a natural glow.
3. Keep your sun exposure down and always wear a good sunscreen.  
4. Use a good moisturizer – one appropriate for your skin type.
5. Eat lots of fruits and veggies.
6. Take a good multi-vitamin if you feel you’re not getting a balanced diet.
