Improve Facial Features
with Make Up
We covered all of the nose improvements in another section. But, there are still some things we can to do
minimize or improve on other facial features. Follow these facial make up tips for other problem areas:
How to make a round face look
slimmer:
- Using a back
and forth motion with the brush, apply blush where the hollow of your check should be. (Suck in your jaws
while looking in the mirror to find the right place for the blush.)
- Make sure your
eyebrow line is extended to the proper length. Too
short a line will enhance the roundness.
- Wear your hair straight and close
to your face.
How to minimize a double chin:
- Apply a
bronzing powder on both sides of the neck. It will give the illusion of a long neck.
- Be sure to use
blush on your cheeks to draw attention away from the
neck.
- Wear your hair
longer in a layered style to help cover part of the neck.
How to cover birthmarks, scars,
etc:
- If birthmarks
are too defined to use concealer on them, try the
Dermablend products. They work great for scars, birthmarks, age spots and other
imperfections.
How to best cover freckles:
- Choose a
foundation that offers medium or full
coverage. This will hide your freckles.
- Choose a color
of the foundation that is lighter than the freckles, but darker than your skin tone. Be sure to blend
well at the chin so you don’t have a distinct make up line.
How to remove blemish scars or age
spots:
- Find a good
bleaching cream and use it faithfully. Over time these spots will fade.
How to minimize red eyes:
- Apply cool
cotton compresses to closed eyes. Use an alcohol free toner
- Or use cucumber
slices.
- Use a small
amount of make up emphasizing your lips.
- Apply a neutral
color eye shadow.
- Wear waterproof
mascara in black or black brown.
- Use a bright
blue pencil to line below your lower lashes.
