What Foundation is Right for You?

To determine this, you need to decide what look you’re trying for.  Do you want a dewy fresh face or one with a healthy glow?  Or would you rather have the non-shiny, matt look?  Maybe you prefer the back-to-nature look.

After determining the look you want, you need to take into consideration your skin type.  Is it oily or dry, prone to acne or extremely sensitive?

Here are a few foundation tips to help you make a wise choice:

Dewy Fresh look
You achieve this look using hydrating foundation. This is especially good for those of you with dry skin or more mature women.  The hydrating formulas usually have anti-aging ingredients and help minimize the appearance of wrinkles.  If you have oily skin, you will want to choose another type of foundation.

Healthy Luminous Glow
To achieve this look, use light-reflecting foundation. Once again, this is a good choice for dry skin and mature skin.  The light reflection helps to hide flaws and makes dull skin look alive.  Good news for those of you with oily skin.  You can also use this type of foundation.

Non-shiny Matt look
If you have oily skin, this is the type of foundation for you.  It is oil-free so helps absorb your extra skin oil.  Avoid this type of foundation if you have dry or mature skin. 

Back- to- Nature look
Tinted moisturizers are fine for all skin types.  They help even out your skin tone, but give you that “barely there” look and feel.
