Eyebrow Make Up Tweezing Tips
There are several types of
tweezers. Choose the one you need according to the job you have to do. I think slant-tip tweezers are
best for tweezing the brows. They grip the individual hair well. The slant tip allows a good view while
tweezing. Thin-tip tweezers are good for grasping small, fine hairs, and plucking ingrown hair.
Square-tip tweezers will remove several hairs at once. So, if you’ve let a jungle develop below your brow
maybe these are the best choice!
When and How to Tweeze:
- Take a shower first or apply a
hot washcloth to the area to help loosen hair follicles.
- Tweeze only the hairs that are
outside of your natural arch.
- Apply a small amount of
moisturizer before tweezing to help hairs slide out of hair
follicles.
- To make sure you don’t
over-pluck, draw in your desired shape (using a soft eye shadow pencil) first. Pluck hairs not in that
area.
- Tweeze under the brow first,
pulling in the direction your hair grows.
- Comb your brows upward and trim
extra long hairs that extend beyond the natural arch.
- When finished tweezing you can
sooth the area with cool wet tea bags if needed.
Other Tweezing Tips
- Pluck eyebrows before bedtime so any redness will be gone by
morning.
- Tweeze those stray hairs around
your eyebrow weekly.
- Removing too many hairs at the
outer corner of your brow can give you an angry look.
- If you have close-set eyes,
tweeze a little more hair between the two brows. This will help widen the eyes.
