Matching your Eye Shadow with your Eyes and Hair
Here are a few eye
shadow tips based upon your eye and hair color:
FOR BLUE EYES
- Good colors: taupe, soft brown, camel, gray, lilac, violet, lavender, deep blue,
black mixed with bright blue

Something different: silver, turquoise, fuchsia

Blue eyes and blond hair -try violets and lavenders. Use the
violet on the lid and in the crease of the eyelid. Use the lighter color lavender above the crease to the
eyebrow bone.

GREEN or HAZEL EYES

Good colors: khaki, brown, apricot, pink, deep mauve, eggplant,
or forest green

Something different: gold, lime-green, really light green,
bright purple

Green eyes and blond hair – use the above colors or try mint
green eye shadow
BROWN EYES
- Good colors: copper, bronze, gold, burnt oranges, charcoal, blue, steel blue/gray,
plum, eggplant, pink, champagne, brown, dark brown, beige, and khaki-green
- Something different: tangerine, royal blue, hot pink, lime-green
- Choose your shade according to your skin tone. If you have fair skin use grey on the
eyelid, plum on the outer edge of the eye, and pink under the eyebrow. If you have medium or darker skin tone,
the plum could be used on the lid and into the crease area.
ALL EYES
- Good colors: navy or charcoal base to define and a powder-blue shadow for
highlighting
- Something different: silver-sparkle shadow
