Correct and Conceal Make Up Tips
Sometimes you need something more than flesh-toned concealer to help hide unwanted appearances on your face. When
that time arises, you want to use color correctors. Here are some guidelines for using correctors:
-
Don’t turn your red face into a green face. When using color corrector, use
the smallest amount possible to do the trick. You don’t want to cover red only to discover that your
face is now green!
-
Layer if necessary. Apply a small amount, and then apply
your foundation. If you need more coverage, apply another thin coat of corrector, then more
foundation.
-
Once you have gotten the look you desire, rub your hands
together really fast for a few seconds. Now, gently press your hands over your face for about 5
seconds. This will quickset your make up.
What color corrector do I need?
Here are the colors available for correcting skin problems and what each
one does:
-
Green: Tones down redness. Use this to hide pimples,
blemishes, scars, birthmarks and broken capillaries
-
Apricot, Peach: Brighten cooler skin tones
-
Rose: Gives a glow to sallow complexions. Mix some of this
with your foundation to camouflage yellowish bruises.
-
Lilac: Tones down excess yellow in the skin
-
Blue: Tones down orange skin tones
-
Yellow: Brightens warmer skin tones. Use this to cover up
dark colored bruises & dark under-eye circles.
