Concealer Make Up Tips
Concealer Tips
Concealer is used to cover dark
circles around the eyes and any discolorations on the face such as veins or freckles. It also helps to cover
outbreaks from acne. Some professionals say to use concealer under your foundation. Others say to use it over your
foundation. Try it both ways to see which way gives you the best results. Here are helpful tips for using
concealer:
- Test concealer on your face just as you would foundation. Skin tone on your hand or
wrist may be different than on your face.
- Don’t choose the lightest color concealer. Choose one that is one or two shades
lighter than your skin.
- Apply concealer sparingly. Too thick might conceal better, but it will also be too
noticeable.
- Concealer helps cover up acne. Use a yellow-based concealer to help hide the redness
associated with acne.
- To determine how well the concealer is going to do its job dab a small amount on the
vein found on your inner wrist. If it covers the blue-toned vein on your wrist, it should cover the spots on
your face.
- Mix your concealer with your foundation to ensure a flawless blend of colors.
- If you want to hide freckles, choose a foundation that is
just slightly darker than the non-freckled area.
