What is Eyebrow Threading?
Keeping those eyebrows groomed and shaped can make
a big impact on your overall look. However, shaping your eyebrows is not very fun. It’s not like a facial where
relaxing lotions are rubbed into your skin or you get a very refreshing face massage. No, the truth is you get
eyebrow hairs plucked out of their normal growing space. Eyebrow threading is one of the alternatives for removing
those pesky, unwanted eyebrows.
You have three choices when it comes to removing those unwanted
eyebrows.
First, you can try waxing. It is quick and
effective. Sometimes, however, it is too effective and you can loose way too much of your eyebrow.
Next, there’s the old fashion method… plucking your eyebrows. This can
be quite painful and generally causes a lot of tears and sneezing because your eyebrow roots are close to the
nerves in your nose.
The third alternative to eyebrow removal is threading. Threading is an
ancient Indian method for removing eyebrow and other facial hair. It involves tying a piece of cotton thread into a
circle, twisting it, and then rolling it over the surface of the skin. The loop of cotton catches the hairs as it
moves over the skin and rips them from their follicles.
Although you will have some eye watering and
sneezing, surprisingly threading is not as painful as eyebrow plucking or eyebrow waxing. The entire threading
process takes about ten minutes when consulting with and experienced practitioner.
It is recommended that you have the threading
treatment for your eyebrows once every four to six weeks. During the interim, you can expect to have a few eyebrow
hairs sprout up. You’ll need to pluck those stray eyebrows.
So, if you need to do a little eyebrow shaping
and removal, check out threading. Your eyebrows will look great and you’ll be spared some pain and unwanted eyebrow
removal.
